Otokar continues to promote its products and capabilities in land systems. The company is participating in the LAAD 2023 expo, which will last four days. Otokar will introduce its product range of armoured vehicles and its capabilities in land systems, such as expertise in the Transfer of Technology (ToT) and local manufacturing.
Emphasising that Otokar is a global player in the defence industry, Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç said, "Today, nearly 33 thousand Otokar military vehicles are in the inventories of nearly 60 users in more than 40 countries. Today penetrating the Latin American market is one of our top priorities. Therefore, LAAD is exceptionally important for Otokar to meet our current and potential customers and develop deeper relationships. LAAD is also an important event for establishing industrial cooperation opportunities in order to create local added value operations in the entire region where Otokar has a well-established and proven track record" Görgüç stated that Otokar had allocated approximately 7 per cent of the company's turnover to R&D activities in the last ten years. "We analyse different needs and expectations of our users, simulate these requirements in-house and develop solutions that meet these requirements in the fastest manner thanks to our excellence in R&D, engineering and testing," Görgüç added.
