Brazil Sinks Ex-Sao Paulo Aircraft Carrier, Causing Environmentalist Concerns
Brazilian Navy sank its former aircraft carrier ex-NAe Sao Paulo in the Atlantic Ocean. French Navy’s Clemenceau-class carrier, originally known as Foch, entered service in 1963. The ship was retired in 2000 when the French Navy commissioned the Charles de Gaulle carrier. It was then transferred to Brazil and renamed Sao Paulo, with Brazil named as the ship’s “final user” in the bilateral agreement. In November 2000, Sao Paulo joined the Brazilian fleet.

The FAB selected the SkyCourier as a replacement for the C-95 Bandeirante
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) selected a Cessna 408 SkyCourier to replace its ageing Embraer C-95 Bandeirante aircraft. The Cessna 408 has been included in the list of joint procurement projects with the C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft and Saab Gripen fighter jets by the new Brazilian Ministry of Defence.
