ANKA-S UCAV was spotted with ROKETSAN’s MAM-L IIR man-in-the-loop glide munitions to provide a leap in range and engagement flexibility from baseline MAM-L.
The outdoor exhibition held for air platforms held for the NATO Summit included TUSAŞ’s ANKA-S UCAV fitted with its new weaponry options, one of them being MAM-L IIR. Alongside MAM-L IIR, MAM-T with laser seeker, single pod CİRİT laser-guided missile, and UMTAS ATGM were also present.
MAM-L IIR was previously tested from the Bayraktar TB2 armed UAV and the AKINCI UCAV developed by Baykar alongside its low-cost sidegrade MAM-L TV.
MAM-L IIR has a considerably longer range compared to the baseline MAM-L, thanks to the IIR seeker being independent of laser designation constraints and aerodynamic revisions. The munition has a range between 25 km and 40 km (200 KTAS, 40000 ft) depending on launch conditions.
