Russia announced plans to deploy its latest 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV 152 mm self-propelled gun in the ongoing war with Ukraine.

Russian news agency RIA reports that mass production of 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV SPGs has commenced, and the first units are planned to be delivered before the end of 2023. 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV is developed as a successor to 2S19 Msta-S 152 mm SPGs actively used in the war in Ukraine. The SPG was revealed in 2015 during the Victory Day Parade alongside other new armoured fighting vehicles.

Improvements in the 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV include a new gun expected to offer a longer range and a radar to measure the trajectory of fired rounds. The new SPG fitted on the T-90 can fire standard and Kransopol series of guided ammunition like its predecessor.
