Poland will purchase 48 Krab howitzers for nearly $800 million

Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced Monday that his country would acquire 48 more AHS Krab self-propelled howitzers and 36 accompanying vehicles from local arms manufacturer Huta Stalowa Wola for $797 million.

"This is a second contract; the first was signed in 2016, and it is still in effect... the contract value is 3.8 billion zlotys," Blaszczak explained.

The Polish military ordered 96 self-propelled howitzers from Huta Stalowa Wola in 2016, with delivery scheduled for 2024.
