Nigerian Army acquires Jordan's second-hand  FV-107 Scimitars
The Nigerian Army has received an unspecified number of second-hand FV-107 Scimitars from Jordania to improve its firepower against extremists.

The FV-107 Scimitars are part of Jordan's second consignment of acquired equipment. The British Army used the FV107 Scimitar, an armoured tracked military reconnaissance vehicle. It was built in Coventry by Alvis and entered service in 1971. Jordan and Nigeria have a strong relationship and cooperative relationship. Jordan pledged to deliver 200 armoured vehicles and helicopters to Nigeria in 2017.
