Atak for Police

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) announced that two T-129 Atak assault helicopters are delivered to the General Directorate of Police and Turkish armed forces. There are more than 50 T-129 helicopters in the inventory of the army. Turkish police received its first T-129 helicopter.

President of Defence Industries Professor İsmail Demir stated that Atak has a Laser warning system and equipped with electronic warfare systems.

TUSAS has stated that T-129s are at the second phase, and their domestic production rate is increased at this phase. No detailed information was provided.

Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu published a photo of the helicopter. According to the photo, the helicopter has three barrel 20 mm Gatling and it might be possible to fire some rockets as it has a payload.
