World Assisting Turkiye After Earthquakes

A state of emergency was declared in the region due to two major earthquakes in Turkiye on February 6, 2023, which affected ten provinces. Death toll from earthquake rises to 6,957 with 38,224 injured Turkiye. The World Health Organisation declared a “Level 3 Emergency”. Level 3 stands for the highest emergency, WHO’s agency-wide assets are called upon to be mobilised.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) organises the Aerial Warfare and Missile Defence Centre 2022 drill at Al-Dhafra Air Base in the country. Military units from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the US, the UK, Greece, Oman, France, Germany, India and Australia will train in air combat operations as part of the drill, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
