Oman Buys JSOW

The US will provide the weapons through Foreign Military Sale.  The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today. Oman has requested to buy 48 AGM-154C Joint Stand-Off Weapons (JSOW). The estimated total cost is $385 million.

The AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon is 450-kilogram (1,000 lb) class a glide bomb. This weapon is intended to provide a low cost solution with standoff capabilities
