The statement regarding the contract signed between ASELSAN and BAYKAR was published on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The statement said:
“An order has been received by ASELSAN from BAYKAR Makina for Electro-Optical System deliveries with a total amount of USD 17.550.000. Within the context of the order, deliveries will be made in 2023-2024.”
On his social media account, Professor Haluk Görgün, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of ASELSAN, stated that national UAVs would be equipped with ASELSAN’s CATS electro-optical payloads.
ASELSAN’s CATS is an electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting system. Its name stands for Common Aperture Targeting System.
