Interest in loyal-wingman-type Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in the United States is increasing. The U.S. Department of Defence ordered additional XQ-8A Valkyre.
According to the announcement, the financial volume of the contract with Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems Inc. is USD 15,5 million. Deliveries are expected to be completed in September 2023. Platforms are expected to deliver two Small Diameter Bombs in an internal bay to 4,800 kilometres distance.
