KIZILELMA UCAV Performs Medium Altitude System Identification Tests

Baykar Chairman of The Board and Technology Leader / CTO Selçuk Bayraktar stated that KIZILELMA’s production would start next year. Stating that Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) reached an altitude of 20,000 feet, Baykar Chairman Bayraktar said, “From now on, many tests will continue as part of our development activities. We aim to start the production of KIZILELMA at the beginning of 2024. In addition, we are preparing for the first flight of Bayraktar TB3, which will be the first UAV that can take off and land on ships with shorter runways than aircraft carriers.”

Both UAVs are designed to take off and land on ships with short runways, such as the TCG Anadolu ship. KIZILELMA will have a significant advantage on the battlefield thanks to its low radar signature design. The UCAV aims to have a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of 6 tons, with a payload capacity of 1500 kilograms to carry all domestically developed ammunition. It will also have high situational awareness with the AESA radar onboard.
