FSMTC: A Contract for S-400 is signed with Turkiye
The head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, Dmitry Shugaev, said that Russia and Turkiye signed a contract for the supply of the second regiment of Russian S-400 air defence systems. The document implies the local production of individual components of the system.

Mr Shugaev talked to journalists at Army 2022 expo today and said, “I want to note that the relevant contract document has already been signed. It, among other things, provides for the localization of the production of individual system components.” He added, “The difficult political situation that has developed this year has negatively affected some aspects of the interaction between the Russian side and partners. Nevertheless, military-technical cooperation with Turkiye is developing in line with the agreements between the two countries’ presidents. We plan to continue working transparent and mutually beneficial with Turkish partners.”

It is worth remembering that the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Madurov has recently said that the two sides have not yet signed but are very close to signing.
