The Swedish defence manufacturer states that the Argentine Navy has been using the RBS 70 since 1984. It is now upgrading to the latest RBS 70 NG. All three of Argentina's armed forces will operate the RBS 70 NG with the latest procurement.
The RBS 70 NG is the most recent version of Saab's short-range ground-based air defence system. With this order, five countries, including the Czech Republic, Brazil, and Sweden, have signed contracts for RBS 70 NG.
