U.S. Sells SM-6 Blk I and AIM-9X Block II+ to ROK
The U.S. approved a possible FMS to the Republic of Korea of Standard Missile 6 Block I (SM-6 Blk I) and AIM-9X Block II and Block II+ Sidewinder Missiles.

The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification, notifying Congress of this possible sale. Korea has requested to buy up to thirty-eight (38) Standard Missile 6 (SM-6) Block I missiles. The estimated total cost is $650 million.
Korea has also requested 42 AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II+ Tactical Missiles. The estimated total program cost is $52.1 million.
