Turkish Air-To-Air Missiles at Their Final Stages

Significant progress has been made within the scope of the GÖKTUĞ Project, which was initiated to meet the needs of the Air Forces Command.
Evaluating within the scope of the verification test, President of Defence Industry Agency (SSB) Professor Haluk Görgün said, “The design verification tests of Bozdoğan and Gökdoğan missiles have been completed. The  missiles are ready for acceptance tests. In the next stage, We will carry out tests with warhead and make them available to Air Force."
The GÖKTUĞ Project contract was signed between the Turkish Defence Ministry R&D and Tübitak SAGE on December 14, 2012. The project was transferred to SSB in November 2016.

The GÖKTUĞ Project includes the design and development of the missile in two different configurations for F-16 PO-I aircraft, BOZDOĞAN-GİF for close combat short range and Beyond-Visual (GÖKDOĞAN-GÖF) for medium-range missiles and completing the qualification and delivering the prototypes.
Tübitak SAGE will produce 25 missiles from each configuration.
