The 129E variant incorporates improvements from GE’s Service Life Extension Programme (SLEP) and upgrades to the combustor and high-pressure turbine. The enhancements reduce up to 25 per cent in cost per flight hour and increase engine cycle life by 50 per cent. Twin engine F-15 has two F110-GE-129E on board.
