The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has acquired TB2 Bayraktar unmanned aerial systems from Turkiye. The process is carried out silently.
According to international media sources, the United Arab Emirates procured Bayraktar drones from Turkiye. Tawazun, an Emirates state company, carried out the procedure. Abu Dhabi asked for 120 UAVs and related Roketsan's ammunition, command and control units, training, and spare parts. Twenty unmanned aircraft have already been delivered to the United Arab Emirates. The estimated financial volume of the sale is around USD 2 billion.The United Arab Emirates used Chinese-origin unmanned aerial vehicles in the past. But it is known that the systems did not meet the expectations. It is considered that some systems are sold second-hand to Libya, and some of them are known to be shot down during combat in Yemen.
