British Royal Air Force Typhoon FGR4 fighter jets have employed the conventionally armed Storm Shadow cruise missile for the first time in combat in northern Iraq on March 10th. According to the Iraqi web site's photos, MBDA Storm Shadow or SCALP cruise missile appears to have failed to reach its target in northern Iraq soon after becoming operational.
An Iraqi news website published photographs on March 22nd showing wreckage found in the Hammam al-Alil district, south of Mosul. The wings and control surfaces are seen in the wreckage also conformed with the Storm Shadow/SCALP.
