Somalia may have received a Bayraktar TB2 UAV
According to the Somalia-based news media The Daily Jubba, Somalia has received a Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The Daily Jubba stated that a battalion would be established to function in accordance with Bayraktar TB2s. The unit will reportedly deploy Bayraktar TB2s for air support while undertaking offensive missions.
Following the broadcast, a photo of the TB2 in maintenance and a video of it flying in the dark at night were made public. TB2's geometry is depicted in the video. The publication made a second post stating that the news was confirmed; “Daily Jubba sources have just confirmed that Somalia has received its first shipment of Bayraktar TB2 Drones.”According to the magazine, a special battalion will also be prepared to attack sites using drones as air support. This new brigade is independent of Gorgor.”Turkish Armed Forces trained the 9th Unit of Gorgor Commandos in Isparta, Turkey.
