Roketsan Signs MoU with Tawazun Council
Turkish state-owned defence company Roketsan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Arab Emirates defence Institution Tawazun Council at IDEX Expo, Abu Dhabi. The MOU seeks to allocate resources from both companies to develop high-precision and high-speed missile systems, putting them at the forefront of "speed is the new stealth" capabilities.
Muammar Abdulla Abushehab, Sector Chief, Defence and Security Industrial Affairs of Tawazun Council, commented on the signing: “The partnership with ROKETSAN is a milestone in development and evidence of Tawazun Council’s commitment to establishing successful and serious partnerships.”

He added,” Tawazun Council and Roketsan will collaborate to develop cutting-edge technologies for future defence needs, marking a significant achievement in our partnership and demonstrating Tawazun Council’s commitment to managing strategic programmes in accordance with its new mandate.”

Murat Ikinci, CEO of ROKETSAN, expressed his delight in participating in IDEX and establishing a new trade bridge between Turkiye and the UAE. He emphasised the importance of IDEX as an opportunity to deepen relationships and find new partners, stating that the new agreement will accelerate mutual cooperation in defence industries between both countries.

Roketsan has previously developed the laser-guided Cirit missile in cooperation with UAE.
