The M142 HIMARS is a wheeled variant developed from the MLRS M270. It is light enough for transportation with C-130 Hercules. It can fire different types of ammunition from the exact launching vehicle, and it provides high accuracy with a low Circle of Probable Error between 2 and 2.5 metres at 70 kilometres in the case of GMLRS-guided rockets.
