Pentagon Needs 700 Thousand Cyber Workers
Pentagon is developing a cyber workforce policy as it is 24 per cent below current need, hoping to find a solution in two years.

Pentagon prepared the 2023-2027 Cyber Workforce Strategy, and the implementation plan was released on August 3rd. The strategy is established on four pillars; identification, recruitment, development and retention. The lack of standard criteria for cyber workforce requirements is a significant problem.

Pentagon wants to reach students from childhood to gain their interest in cyber science, technology and other similar interests.

According to a hearing on June 22nd House Homeland Security Committee subcommittee on cybersecurity and infrastructure protection, the U.S. has 700,000 vacant cybersecurity positions.
