TRNC President Ersin Tatar met with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmud Qureshi at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The claim that Pakistan could be the second country after Turkey to recognise the TRNC has been on the agenda for a while.
Tatar commented the meeting to Milliyet Newspaper ann said that Pakistan is not close to recognising the TRNC but that they have offered to open a representative office in the TRNC. Tatar said, “We proposed for Pakistan to open a representative office in the TRNC. Mr Qureshi listened to us, took notes, but has not yet given an answer.”
