Morocco Received the Israeli Barak MX Air Defence Missile System
Morocco reportedly received the first part of a $500 million Barak MX air defence missile system from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

According to Morocco's specialised FAR Maroc, the delivery of the Israeli system started in mid-2023, signifying that the first shipments had already been received.
The system uses an integrated smart launcher with an interceptor for short, medium and long ranges.
In 2021, the North African country purchased the Skylock Dome anti-drone system from Israel, which specialises in detecting and neutralising threats from unmanned vehicles.
The country has also acquired Heron drones, manufactured by IAI, and IAI Bluebird units.
Morocco is open to various foreign countries for defence acquisition programmes. The United States dominates Morocco, holding 76 per cent of the market. France is the second biggest supplier with a 15 per cent market share, and China is third with 6.8 per cent.
