Stand-Off Missile SOM is an air-to-surface cruise missile fired from beyond the reach of the hostile air defence systems, against heavily defended land or moving naval targets, deep in the battlefield. The CRA will function as part of a guidance system as terrain relative navigation.
CRA Radar Altimeters designed, developed and produced as fully compatible with military standards; have been passed and qualified within environmental conditions MIL-STD-810F), EMI/EMCMIL-STD-461E) and flight tests.
A radar altimeter is a low power radar system that measures the distance from the platform to the terrain directly beneath it. It provides AGL (Above Ground Level) height. Like other radar devices, they transmit electromagnetic waves and measure the round-trip time delay to the earth’s surface to determine the distance (i.e. height) from the air or spaceborne sensor.
