Lithuania orders Carl-Gustaf M4

The current M4 version of the Carl Gustaf series, which has been in use for decades, has been manufactured by Saab since 2014. At 6.7 kg, the weapon is not only significantly lighter than the previous version, but it is also able to accommodate different optics and fire control solutions such as the FCS13-RE from Aimpoint. In addition to modern materials such as a titanium-coated launch tube made of carbon fibre, ergonomics has also been improved. According to the manufacturer, ammunition worth 14.6 million euros has already been requested from the recently concluded contract. Lithuania is the 14th user nation for the M4 version of Carl Gustaf. However, the agent is not completely new to the armed forces of the Baltic nation. The M2 and M3 versions have been part of the equipment of the Lithuanian army since the 1990s.
