India Qualified Indigenous MPATGM
The Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully tested the Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM). The defence ministry said the ATGM was flight-tested in its final "deliverable configuration".

"The missile impacted the designated target and destroyed it. The final impact event was captured on camera, and the test successfully validated the minimum range," the ministry said. The test-firing was carried out to prove the "consistent performance" for the minimum range. The missile has a range of 2.5 km.

The indigenously developed Man Portable ATGM is a low weight, "fire and forget" missile with a miniaturised infrared imaging seeker. MPATGM will be manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited at its facility in Bhanoor, Telangana.
