Turkish Defence Company HAVELSAN and Saudi Arabian General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding at WDS.

The Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia and GAMI signed the MOU with HAVELSAN at the “World Defense Show” (WDS). HAVELSAN will open an office in Saudi Arabia to expand its global presence in the Middle East and open three locations alongside its offices in Oman and Qatar.

Having a strategic expansion into Saudi Arabia is a part of HAVELSAN’s larger initiative to strengthen its presence across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This initiative aligns with HAVELSAN’s goal of contributing to the technological enhancement of national defence capabilities.

The objective of HAVELSAN is to work toward improving the technological capabilities of C4ISR Technologies in the region. HAVELSAN provides many solutions based on software. It has products on C4ISR and Autonomous Technologies, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV), Armed Unmanned Surface Vehicles (AUSV), and simulation technologies. HAVELSAN has established a helicopter simulator facility in Qatar, for example, and is working toward the goal of extending its comprehensive solutions to the Saudi Arabian region.
