Turkish firearms maker establishes GIRSAN USA in Florida to expand distribution across the Americas, with future plans for assembly lines and production.
GIRSAN Silah Sanayi has announced the establishment of GIRSAN USA, a new company in Florida, to strengthen its global footprint and streamline distribution in the Americas. Once fully registered, the subsidiary will provide direct logistics and distribution to both North and Latin America.
Board Chairman Veysel Cürgül stated, “In the U.S., we will initially start with distribution activities. From there, we will provide logistics to the entire continent, including Latin and North America. In 2026, we plan to launch an assembly line, followed by a full production facility in the coming years.”
Highlighting the strategic importance of the move, Cürgül added, “All major global firms have a presence in America. The U.S. is the hub for light weapons manufacturers, and most of our exports are already directed to this region. By establishing local distribution, we will simplify the process, and once we build our production facility, we expect to gain cost advantages. For us, founding a company in Florida and planning a production plant there is a source of pride.”
Currently exporting to over 55 countries, GIRSAN serves both civilian users and military and law enforcement agencies. The company’s international profile received a boost last year when U.S. Special Forces selected its MC P35 pistols for official use.
GİRSAN is named after Giresun, a Turkish city at Black Sea coast.
