The Israeli Arrow 3 anti-missile system export requires US approval as it is developed jointly by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Boeing. It also requires the approval of the German Bundestag.
If the purchase becomes effective, Germany would have an anti-missile system capable of intercepting ballistic missiles during their space flight phase at the exoatmospheric stage. The interceptor missiles have a range of up to 2,400 kilometres.
