“Congratulations to Germany on the acquisition of the F-35A. Germany is the ninth foreign military sales country to join the JSF program,” said Lieutenant General Michael Schmidt, Executive Director of the F-35 Program. “We look forward to working with them to deliver the F-35 Air System to meet national defence requirements.”

German Defence Ministry and Air Force officially selected the F-35. The agreement includes a comprehensive package of engines, mission-specific equipment, spare and replacement parts, technical and logistical support, training and armament.
