Finland’s President Niinisto Warns Europe About Nuclear War
The President of Finland, the last country that joined NATO since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, has spoken to the New York Times. President Niinisto warned Europe about Russia’s war against Ukraine and its potential risks. He stated that wars, in general, can take unexpected paths, which could include the use of nuclear weapons.
Russia exerted control over Finland for more than a century until 1917, when, in the midst of the chaos caused by Lenin’s takeover, Finland proclaimed its independence.
