Draken International Acquires Dutch F-16s
Draken International continues aircraft procurement activities. The company acquired 11 former Dutch F-16 Fighting Falcons. Aircraft became surplus equipment after the transition to F-35 Lightning II of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Draken International is planning to use aircraft for training in aggressor roles. Jets will be temporarily stored at Charleroi Airport in a flight-worthy condition. Many private ventures procured fighter jets from their former users. Aircraft will be used for training purposes, according to companies. Some firms even have tanker aircraft, while many countries still need more aerial refuelling capability.
