Czech Republic Modernises AH-1Z and UH-1Ys
The State Department approved a possible FMS to the Czech Republic of AH-1Z and UH-1Y modernisation for an estimated value of up to $650 million.

The US will modernise the helicopters with Foreign Military Sale (FMS), and the Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.
The Czech Republic has requested equipment and services to refurbish six AH-1Z Viper and two UH-1Y Venom Excess Defence Article (EDA) helicopters. This equipment and services will include 22 T-700 GE 401C engines (16 installed, six spares); four M240 machine guns. The estimated total value is $650 million.

Prague will receive 12 H1 choppers as well. The first H1 light attack helicopter was delivered in April, 2023.
