ASELSAN introduces GÜRZ Air and Missile Defence System at IDEF
The GÜRZ Air and Missile Defence System developed by ASELSAN will be introduced for the first time within the scope of IDEF'23.

ASELSAN is exhibiting its air and missile defence system “GÜRZ”, which offers multiple interceptors (cannon and missile) against very low and low altitude air threats.

GÜRZ is mounted on an armoured 8×8 wheeled platform and will serve against UAVs, helicopters, aircraft, cruise missiles and air-to-ground ammunition.

The GÜRZ Air and Missile Defence System will protect facilities and convoys in transit against air threats.

GÜRZ Air and Missile Defence System consist of components such as 35 millimetre Air Defence Gun (Air Burst Ammunition Family ATOM, HEI, TP), four Very Low Altitude Air Defence Missiles, four Low Altitude Air Defence Missiles, four Active Phased Array (AESA) Search Radar, fire control radar, electro-optical sensors and data link.
While MANPAD Missiles such as SUNGUR or STINGER are used in the Very Low Altitude area, the IIR Seeker BOZDOĞAN Missile is used against low altitude targets. About a year ago, GÜRZ’s patent images were introduced as Turkish Pantsir by Russian users on social media.
