Armenia Used it, Russia hid: The Iskander Missile

 An official from Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azərbaycan Respublikasının Minatəmizləmə Agentliyi/ANAMA) demonstrated photographs from Iskander missile during the Karabakh War. ANAMA official stated that two detonated missile fragments were found during clearing operations near Shusha. As a result of the examination, it was determined that the pieces belonged to the Iskender ballistic missile.

Iskander-M is a short-range tactical missile system (NATO code SS-26 Stone) developed to destroy critical targets. It has a range of 500 km.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev previously said that Armenia did not use Iskander missiles during the war. Armenian leaders like former President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the Iskander missile is used against Azerbaijan. Pashinyan even said that the missiles were ineffective. The Russian Defence Ministry denied Pashinyan’s claims and announced that Armenia did not use them in war. The photographs revealed refute the authorities.
