USA Sells NASAMS to Ukraine

The State Department approved a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Ukraine of the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) for an estimated cost of $285 million. The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress.
Ukraine has requested to buy the NASAMS, the request includes: one AN/MPQ-64F1 Sentinel Radar. The request includes a Fire Distribution Centre (FDC); canister launchers, secure communications, GPS receivers, code loaders, and cable sets. The total estimated cost is $285 million. The principal contractor will be Raytheon Missiles and Defence.
