US Signs $7.2 Billon Javelin Missile Contract
The U.S. has awarded the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV) contract to procure Javelin anti-tank guided missile systems. The contract value is $7.2 billion.

The contract awarded includes funding up to $1.02 billion for investment support to increase Javelin production to 3,960 units per year by late 2026. According to the U.S. Army's budget justification documents, the new Light Weight Command Launch Unit will cost roughly $350,000 per unit, with 187 LWCLUs to be purchased during FY 2024. The contract also includes production for U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
