The Swedish Navy has tested the Saab Enforcer III unmanned vessel
The unmanned version has radar, day and night cameras, and an autonomous navigation system. In the test the Enforcer III acted as a spotter for the Visby-class corvette HMS Nyköping. During the tests, a crew was on board for safety reasons, but the corvette did the handling. According to the corvette commander, the Enforcer III allowed his vessel to maintain a low electromagnetic profile without the use of the radar, making it more challenging to detect since the reconnaissance role was taken over by the unmanned.
Enforcer III discovered the targets and sent data to Saab’s staff on the corvette, and they then transferred them to the ship.
CB90 is a fast military assault craft used by several countries after being initially developed for the Swedish Navy by Dockstavarvet. It can carry and deploy a half platoon of amphibious infantry fully equipped. The CB90 can execute highly sharp turns at high speed and decelerate from top speed to a full stop in 2.5 boat lengths.
