According to the TASS agency, the Russian Navy received the Mozhaysk, Varshavyanka class diesel-electric submarine while the Emperor Alexander III - Borei-A class - and Krasnoyarsk - Yasen-M class nuclear-powered submarines - two days later. Project 636 Varshavyanka is a class of diesel-electric attack submarines, also known as the "Improved Kilo class."
