Singapore Announces a 6.5 per cent İncrease in its Defence Budget for 2022

The plan for 2022 comprises SGD15.76 billion for operations, with SGD15.71 billion designated for "military spending." This marks a 6.5 per cent increase year over year.

According to the government, military expenditure includes payments for the procurement of military equipment, its maintenance, and military salaries. The government released no new information about its 2022 defence spending plans.
