Roketsan announced at social media accounts that, the compnay's new anti-tank missile LUMTAS-GM hit the target 16 km away in the firing test. LUMTAS-GM is the first member of ROKETSAN’s UMTAS-GM family, which will include two versions. UMTAS-GM Block 1 will have two variants, like the UMTAS, one with a semi-active laser seeker and the other with an IIR seeker. UMTAS-GM Block 2 will feature a new type of dual-mode seeker housing an IIR and a TV seeker in two separate apertures.

Unlike UMTAS, LUMTAS-GM is launched from a canister, as seen in the test. The missile has a new wing layout with wider main wings, allowing for better gliding performance and longer range. LUMTAS-GM is compatible with land platforms (Using the KMC-U weapon system), various Turkish USVs (ULAQ, SALVO…), and attack helicopters.
LUMTAS-GM weighs 41.3 kg (66.3 kg with canister), has a length of 1.72 m, and has a range of 16 km for surface and 20+ km for rotary wing platforms.
