The Directorate of Pakistan Strategic Forum (PSF) wrote on the social media account INTELPSF that STM will showcase the STM-500 submarine at the IDEAS2022 defence expo in Pakistan, claiming that the Pakistan Navy has selected the submarine for its Shallow Water Attack Submarine (SWAS) Program, which calls for at least three small attack submarines.
STM500 Submarine is a shallow-water diesel-electric attack submarine developed by STM as a conceptual design. The platform can endure 18+6 (SF) personnel for 30 days at depths more than 250 meters, ready to fire its four tubes loaded with eight heavy-weight torpedoes and guided missiles.
