The photos shared on social media shows that Turkish officials provided information about the Müren System. Müren is a Turkish abbreviation of (Milli Üretim Entegre), serving as a Combat Management System. TÜBİTAK BİLGEM and Turkish Navy’s ARMERKOM developed it for the submarine. While the MUREN Combat Management System contains many different types of sensors in its structure, it is also a compact system in which navigation and weapon systems can be maintained. Thus, with MUREN, it aims to eliminate foreign dependency on the combat management system integrated into submarines. TCG Preveze is the first submarine modernised with MÜREN System.
Pakistan currently holds several maritime modernisation programmes, including submarines. STM has previously modernised Pakistan Navy’s Agosta 90B submarines.
