Myanmar Strengthens Navy
Myanmar Navy has put two Super Dvora Mark III fast patrol boats, two landing crafts and an auxiliary vessel into active service. The commissioning ceremony was held at the naval base in Yangon. High-level officials also attended the program.The country has four Israeli-origin Super Dvora crafts. New vessels are built in Thanlyin Naval Dockyard in Myanmar under license. Two other landing vessels are built domestically as well. Boats are intended to be used for river and amphibious operations. Crafts are also compatible with UMS Moattama landing platform dock.
