Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW) laid the keel of 1st indigenously designed gunboat in a ceremony held at Karachi Shipyard.
According to defensetalks.com, this vessel is part of the massive contract of 20 gunboats for the Pakistan Navy. Karachi Shipyard Lays Keel of 1st Indigenously Designed Gun BoatThe indigenously designed gunboat has an overall length of 38.8 metres and a displacement of 220 tonnes. This boat is equipped with a 25 mm STOP Remote Controlled Stabilised Naval Gun System, developed with a Turkish defence firm, Aselsan.
