BİYOTEKSAN, a subsidiary of POLSAN and HAVELSAN, has developed the National Biometric Data Management System with HAVELSAN. The domestic fingerprint recognition system, developed by BİYOTEKSAN with HAVELSAN's engineering capabilities, was first implemented at the General Directorate of Migration Management on March 26, 2021. All registered immigrants' identity verification and inquiry processes were carried out over the domestic system in approximately one year. The company, along with HAVELSAN, reached a new step on the use of the National Biometric Data Management System.

The company explained its business to Anadolu News Agency. The domestic fingerprint recognition system was put into use in 81 provinces on January 7, 2022, under the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs. In a short time, approximately 2 million identity documents, including TR identity cards, driver's licenses and passports, were prepared using the domestic fingerprint recognition system.BİYOTEKSAN offers national security solutions based on biometric technologies. The company developed the first solution in the field of National Biometric Identification Systems as the Fingerprint Recognition Systems, which utilize Domestic and National algorithms.
