EUROJET consortium responsible for the EJ200 engines signed a contract with the NETMA to provide 59 new engines by 2029 for the Spanish Air and Space Force.
EUROJET Turbo GmBH (EUROJET), the consortium in charge of the EJ200 engines used in the Eurofighter Typhoon, has signed a deal with the NATO Eurofighter & Tornado Management Agency (NETMA) to provide the Spanish Air and Space Force (SASF) with 59 new EJ200 engines.
Rolls-Royce, MTU Aero Engines, ITP Aero, and Avio Aero collaborated to create the EJ200 engine.

Rolls-Royce will play a critical role in developing engine modules to meet the Spanish Air Force's needs, contributing both knowledge and creative concepts.
Ralf Breiling, CEO of EUROJET, and Simon Ellard, General Manager of NETMA Air Vice Marshall (AVM), inked the agreement at Getafe Air Force Base in Madrid. The contract, which covers EJ200 engines for Eurofighter Typhoon fighter aircraft, is part of the second phase of the Halcón acquisition project.
The engines will be constructed at the ITP Aero Facility in Ajalvir, and deliveries will start in 2029.
Spanish Air Force acquires 25 Eurofighters. The contract indicates that 50 engines will be installed, and nine will be used as spares.
