Egypt builds the fourth MEKO A200 Frigate

Egypt is building a 4000-ton MEKO A200 frigate locally at Alexandria shipyard in cooperation with Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) Group under a contract signed in 2019 to purchase four frigates with technology transfer.

German shipyard has built the first two frigates in Germany at Bremerhaven shipyard and constructed the third one. It also transferred the manufacturing technology to Egypt to build the last frigate.
